The door to me

The thick steel door

The door that encloses my heart

The door that allows others to enter

I am standing inside, fully clothed, but naked

I am standing inside, and I am finding the courage

The courage to crack open, the thick steel framed door

And gently, as the light peeks in, a butterfly gently floats

Resting on my outstretched hand

Signifying gentleness, removing my fears, allowing

Allowing others access,
