New Beginning

Yesterday I was angry

Today I am complacent

Yet as I sit and write 

I think about tomorrow

Tomorrow the sun will come up and warm me

As I contemplate happiness

I feel refreshed

I feel alive

I feel thankful

Thankful, I am here, really here

Just Being

For when I am being

I am myself

I am the one

Who knows

Nothing takes place until I begin

And today is a New Begin-ning
